Anyone else ever played F.E.A.R?
That was definitely a fantastic game.. one of the best storylines mixed with a very smart AI and nice graphics that ran nicely with also not-so-expensive video cards..

Well, here I am, anonymous all right. With guys nobody really cares about. They come from the end of the line, most of 'em. Small towns you never heard of: Pulaski, Tennessee; Brandon, Mississippi; Pork Van, Utah; Wampum, Pennsylvania. Two years' high school's about it, maybe if they're lucky a job waiting for them back at a factory, but most of 'em got nothing. They're poor, they're the unwanted, yet they're fighting for our society and our freedom. It's weird, isn't it? They're the bottom of the barrel and they know it. Maybe that's why they call themselves grunts, cause a grunt can take it, can take anything. They're the best I've ever seen, Grandma. The heart & soul. - Platoon

Never tried it... is it single player?

I can remember seeing a demo version in a store.

yeah, the whole game is based on a single player mode.
Actually there is also a MP mode, but IMO not as enjoyable as the SP, probably because what makes the game interesting above all is the storyline and how your charachter fits in.
On the other hand I must admit that the MP gameplay is very good thanks to the melee actions and the slow motion feature: in fact altough the great variety of weapons, a great number of 1 vs 1 actions concluded in punches and - most of all - rounded/sliding kicks in mid air, right before watching the enemy (or you in the other case) flying back with a very cinematic effect and falling to the ground. In any case, all these kung-fu styled actions blends nicely with the military/elite force characteristics of the soldiers, and nothing seem out of place.
